Together with other organizations on the University of Denver campus and the Society for Professional Journalists, the Estlow Center brings to campus each year a renowned journalist who has contributed to democratic freedoms as recipient of the Anvil of Freedom Award. The Anvil of Freedom Award recipient gives public remarks and provides a workshop for journalism students and professional journalists prior to the public event.
We also experiment with bringing together students and media professionals. Through our guest lecture invitations, we offer media professionals the opportunity to hear directly from young people about their media practices and those they've observed among their peers. The Estlow Center also partners with organizations both on campus and off to provide workshops on the art and craft of journalism. In the past we have partnered with the Reynolds Center for Business Journalism and the Society for Professional Journalists. |
