Aaron Huey Returns to DU as a Master Scholar |
Huey shares his experience as an international photographer with current DU students
DENVER—In recognition of his professional achievement, Aaron Huey (BFA '99, studio art), an international photojournalist, was selected by Dean Anne McCall to be the 2011 Art Humanities Social Science (AHSS) Master Scholar at the University of Denver (DU). The Master Scholar Program is an annual alumni outreach program that connects alumni with students by inviting distinguished alumni to return to campus. Huey met with students to share his expertise and demonstrate how they have applied their liberal arts education to their careers. |

Andrew Rosenthal of The New York Times visits with DU students |
 Andrew Rosenthal, Op Ed Editor of the New York Times and DU graduate, met with University of Denver students on Friday, October 1st to discuss prospects for work in journalism and related professions. Rosenthal was in town serving as keynote speaker for the DU Alumni Symposium.

However they rarely get an opportunity to discuss and debate these issues directly with people living in other countries. The rise of the Internet has made this kind of direct discussion and debate easier.
